At the Total Relief Method, we restore hope to Veterans and others who are suffering from the debilitating symptoms of PTSD and help them integrate back into civilian life.
Many or most therapies to address Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) have shown less than satisfactory results, particularly if measured over longer time frames and very often if the patient is interviewed. Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) have not shown to be clinically effective therapies for PTSD, particularly measured over time and looking at the high percentages that PTSD remains as an active clinical diagnosis.
We put forward an explanation for the lack of efficacy of talk therapies. In addition, other therapies such as Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for PTSD also show meager results as measured over significant time frames.
We define success as “significant relief of 6 Major Symptoms as measured over their lifespan” for the patient suffering from PTSD.
